Kaštela → Maslinica Bay (Šolta)
Cast off from Kaštela, a string of historic towns whose stone whispers of Roman emperors, for the 15-nautical-mile passage west to Maslinica Bay on Šolta island. This sheltered harbour, once a quiet fishing village, now offers a peaceful anchorage fringed by ancient olive groves and stone cottages. Drop anchor in the clear, shallow waters or take a stern-to mooring along the quay. As dusk settles, the scent of pine resin from the surrounding hills fills the air. For dinner, dinghy ashore to Konoba Šešula, a favourite spot to sample their signature gregada, a rich fish stew, as the sun dips below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and pink.

Maslinica Bay → Komiža (Vis)
Begin the 28-nautical-mile passage west towards the island of Vis and its formidable fishing town, Komiža. This harbour, nestled beneath steep cliffs, retains a raw authenticity, its narrow lanes whispering tales of WWII resistance fighters and generations of fishermen. Upon arrival, consider a dinghy excursion to the iconic Stiniva Cove, a dramatic amphitheatre of white pebbles accessible only by sea or a steep hike. For dinner, Konoba Bako is a local institution, famed for its perfectly fried bogueroni (anchovies) and the warm glow of lanterns. Moor stern-to in the harbour, mindful of the afternoon maestral that can funnel through the channel.

Komiža → Blue Cave (Biševo) – Vela Luka (Korčula)
Depart Komiža in the early morning for the 3 NM hop to Biševo Island and the famed Blue Cave. Aim to arrive between 10:00 and 12:00 for the most spectacular light show, when sunlight refracts through an underwater opening to illuminate the cave's interior in an ethereal blue. After soaking in the spectacle, set course southeast for Vela Luka on Korčula Island, a 20 NM passage across the Pelješac Channel. This broad, protected waterway is ideal for a steady beam reach. Vela Luka, meaning 'big harbour', lives up to its name with a sweeping bay and a relaxed, artistic vibe. Wander the waterfront, perhaps visiting the Museum of Old Culture to see traditional crafts, before seeking out a family konoba for dinner. The local speciality, žrnovski makaruni, is hand-rolled pasta best enjoyed with a robust local red.
