Departing Sukosan's marina, make a 15-nautical-mile passage west towards Dugi Otok, passing the verdant shores of Ugljan island. Your destination is Božava Bay, a sheltered anchorage on Dugi Otok's northeastern coast, known for its tranquil atmosphere and clear waters. Drop anchor in the bay's southern arm, where the seabed offers good holding in sand and weed at around 6 metres. The surrounding pines offer shade and a fragrant scent, while the water is perfect for a pre-dinner swim. For dinner, row ashore to the village of Božava and find Konoba Fabrika, serving local specialities like lignje na gradele (barbecued squid) with views across the bay as the cicadas begin their evening chorus.

Božava → Telaščica Bay

Today's 15-nautical-mile passage south brings you to Telaščica Bay, a spectacular natural harbour on Dugi Otok’s southeastern flank, often called the Adriatic's 'wild theatre'. The bay itself is a deep, calm inlet, but its seaward side is guarded by the imposing Stene cliffs, plunging 100 metres into the indigo sea, a dramatic sight for any sailor. Drop anchor within the bay and take the dinghy to the Mir Lake entrance. This unique saline lagoon, warmer than the surrounding sea, offers a surreal swimming experience. Later, explore the island’s interior via clifftop paths, observing the semi-wild donkeys that roam freely amongst ancient olive groves. Kornati → Zlarin

Departing Kornati, a 15-nautical-mile sail northeast brings you to Zlarin, the famed Coral Island. This charming village, car-free since 2019, is renowned for its coral jewellery heritage. Zlarin → Skradin (Krka National Park)
