Šibenik → Primošten
Depart Šibenik mid-morning, leaving the intricate stone lacework of St. James' Cathedral behind for the 15-nautical-mile sail south to Primošten. This picturesque fishing village tumbles down a craggy peninsula, crowned by the Church of St. George. Drop anchor in the clear waters of the bay, perhaps enjoying a refreshing swim beneath the famous vineyard-shaped hills, often called the 'stone heart' of Primošten. As the afternoon light softens, explore the narrow stone streets or find a harbourside konoba for a taste of traditional brodet, a rich fish stew. The local Babič wine, grown on the steep surrounding slopes, is the perfect accompaniment as you watch the fishing boats bob in the golden harbour light.
Things to do
Swim in the clear bay below Primošten
Explore the narrow stone streets of the peninsula
Taste local Babič wine at a harbourside konoba
Visit the Church of St. George for panoramic views
Mooring tip
Anchor in the bay's sandy bottom, holding well in 5-10 metres. Town quay moorings are limited; arrive early or be prepared to anchor out.

Primošten → Krknjaši Bay (Veli Drvenik)
Depart Primošten for a 20-nautical-mile westward passage across the channel to the famed Krknjaši Bay, also known as the Blue Lagoon, on the island of Veli Drvenik. This sheltered horseshoe bay offers crystalline waters ideal for an afternoon swim, with the seabed of white sand clearly visible in depths of up to 10 metres. Secure your catamaran by dropping anchor in the southern part of the bay, where the holding is excellent. For dinner, row ashore to Konoba Bila Lučica in the nearby village of Veli Drvenik, where they grill the day's catch over olive-wood embers. The scent of pine resin from the surrounding hills will fill the air as dusk settles, accompanied by the gentle chorus of cicadas.
Things to do
Anchor in Krknjaši Bay's clear turquoise water
Swim and snorkel the shallow sand and seagrass
Dine at Konoba Bila Lučica for grilled fish
Explore Veli Drvenik village by dinghy
Mooring tip
Anchor in 4–8m sand on the south side of Krknjaši Bay; holding is excellent, no mooring lines available.

Krknjaši Bay → Komiža (Vis)
Depart Krknjaši Bay for the 25-nautical-mile passage south-southeast to the island of Vis, dropping anchor mid-morning in the spectacular Stiniva Cove. This natural amphitheatre, carved into sheer cliffs, offers a dramatic swim before continuing the short hop to Komiža. Upon arrival, stern-to moor in the harbour, a quintessential fishing town whose stone walls are draped in nets. Explore the island's wartime past with a visit to the Tito's bunker, or simply wander the labyrinthine streets. For dinner, Konoba Bako is renowned for its fried anchovies and intimate harbour setting, where lamps cast a warm glow over the bobbing masts as cicadas sing their dusk chorus.

This bay, long favoured by discerning sailors, offers sheltered mooring and a welcome contrast to Vis’s rugged beauty. Drop anchor in the protected cove, noting the seabed of sand and posidonia in 5-10 metres. Spend the afternoon exploring the island’s botanical gardens, a legacy of its early 20th-century bohemian residents, or take a short dinghy ride to the nearby islet of Zečevo for snorkelling amongst the vibrant reefs.
