Day-by-day journey
Named anchorages, restaurants, and route notes for every leg of the week — written by sailors who've actually run this passage.

Rogoznica → Zlarin
Cast off from Rogoznica in the early afternoon, leaving the unique Dragon's Eye Lake behind for a relaxed 12-nautical-mile passage towards Zlarin island. Sail past the historic fortifications of Šibenik, keeping a keen eye on the charts as you navigate the channel. Zlarin, famously car-free since 2019, offers a serene escape, its identity intrinsically linked to the red coral harvested from its surrounding waters. Anchor in a sheltered bay, the scent of pine needles sharp in the warm air, and take a refreshing swim before rowing ashore. Discover the island's coral heritage at a small museum or seek out a family-run konoba for a taste of local life, perhaps enjoying freshly grilled fish as the cicadas begin their evening chorus.
Things to do
Swim in the clear waters off Zlarin's coast
Visit the Coral Heritage Museum
Explore the car-free island village
Dine at Konoba Antonijo
Mooring tip
Anchor in the bay north of the village in sand and weed, or stern-to at the small quay if space allows.

Zlarin → Skradin, NP Krka
Depart Zlarin after morning coffee for the 15 NM passage inland via the Krka River estuary, a waterway defined by steep limestone banks that rise like ancient sentinels. The channel narrows, leading to the charming stone town of Skradin, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its Roman ruins and ripening figs in courtyard gardens. Here, you'll moor the catamaran and transfer to the National Park's dedicated riverboat for the final leg to Krka National Park. Witness the spectacular Skradinski Buk waterfalls, swim in designated emerald pools beneath the cascades, and feel the cool spray on your skin. Return to Skradin for evening exploration of its narrow streets, perhaps enjoying a glass of local wine.
Things to do
Swap catamaran for park boat at Skradin quay
Swim in designated pools below Skradinski Buk
Explore Skradin's historic stone streets and Roman ruins
Visit the Krka Monastery and Roški Slap upstream
Mooring tip
Skradin has stern-to moorings with lazy-lines; book ahead in high season as space is limited.

Skradin → Kaprije
Depart Skradin mid-morning for the 20-nautical-mile reach southwest to Kaprije, an island known for its car-free paths and fragrant wild rosemary. The approach is marked by a scattering of islets, a prelude to the sheltered anchorages awaiting. Drop the hook in Stipa Bay, a protected inlet on the island's western side, where the water is clear and invites an afternoon swim. As the sun begins its descent, a short climb leads to the island's highest point, offering a panoramic vista of the surrounding Kornati and Šibenik archipelago bathed in sunset hues. Later, descend to the waterfront for dinner at a local konoba, perhaps Konoba Kaprije, where fresh seafood and the scent of olive wood embers set the scene.
Things to do
Anchor in Stipa Bay for swimming and snorkeling
Hike to the island's highest point for sunset views
Enjoy fresh seafood at Konoba Kaprije
Explore Kaprije village's car-free paths
Mooring tip
Anchor in Stipa Bay on sand and rock in 5-10 metres; holding is good. No official marina here, so plan for a quiet night aboard.

Kaprije → Telaščica Bay
Depart Kaprije for the 15-nautical-mile passage southeast towards Telaščica Nature Park, a dramatic stretch of Adriatic coastline. The park's famous cliffs, the Stene, rise 160 metres sheer from the sea, a nesting site for peregrine falcons. Anchor in the sheltered waters of Telaščica Bay, a natural harbour forming the park's southern boundary. From here, row or kayak inland to the Mir Lake, a unique saltwater lagoon warmed by subterranean channels, perfect for a gentle swim. Alternatively, hike the 3km path up to the Great Plateau for breathtaking sunset panoramas across the Kornati archipelago. The scent of wild herbs and the cicadas' evening song accompany the descent.
Things to do
Anchor in Telaščica Bay and swim the Mir Lake lagoon
Hike the Great Plateau for sunset views
Observe nesting falcons from the Stene cliffs
Explore the Kornati archipelago from the bay
Mooring tip
Anchor in Telaščica Bay's southern arm in 5-10m sand; holding is excellent. No services, bring all provisions.

Telaščica Bay → NP Kornati, Piškera
A 12-nautical-mile passage south brings you into the heart of Kornati National Park, a scattering of 89 islands and islets resembling a lunar landscape. The dry-stone walls, built over centuries, crisscross the islands like prehistoric hieroglyphics. Drop anchor in Piškera bay, a natural harbour on the island of the same name, known for its clarity and calm. Spend the afternoon exploring the nearby uninhabited coves by dinghy, finding your own private patch of turquoise water. As the sun begins its descent, hike the short track above the bay to a viewpoint offering panoramic vistas of the entire archipelago. The colours during the violet hour here are legendary, a perfect backdrop for enjoying fresh fish grilled on deck, the scent of pine resin sharp in the evening air.
Things to do
Anchor in Piškera bay, exploring by dinghy
Hike to the viewpoint for sunset vistas
Swim in the crystalline waters of Kornati
Enjoy grilled fresh-caught fish on deck
Mooring tip
Anchor in Piškera bay on sand in 4-7 metres, holding is excellent. No marina facilities but good shelter.

Piškera → Jezera (Murter)
Cast off from Piškera for the 15-nautical-mile run south-east towards Murter Island, a welcome return to civilisation after the Kornati's lunar landscapes. Jezera is a charming fishing harbour on the island's northern coast, its waterfront lined with stone houses and bobbing vessels. Moor stern-to along the quay, the scent of pine resin and salt in the air. For your final swim, consider the golden sands of Slanica Beach, a short dinghy ride away, or paddle out to the candy-striped lighthouse of Čigraada. As dusk settles, find a vine-draped konoba in Jezera village to savour pasticada, a rich beef stew slow-cooked with prunes and wine, a dish that embodies the heart of Dalmatian cuisine.
Things to do
Kayak to the Čigraada lighthouse
Swim at golden Slanica Beach
Enjoy pasticada at a local konoba
Stroll Jezera's waterfront promenade
Mooring tip
Jezera harbour offers stern-to mooring along the quay; holding is good. Arrive early in season as berths are limited.

Jezera (Murter) → Rogoznica
Your final passage is a gentle 15 NM reach southeast back towards Rogoznica, the morning sun warming your faces. Skirt the striking island of Primošten, its ancient stone houses cascading down to the sea, a UNESCO-protected gem. Arrive at Marina Frappa in Rogoznica with time for one last invigorating swim in the Dragon's Eye Lake, a unique geological wonder whose brackish waters have mirrored your week's adventures. Secure your stern-to mooring, and celebrate your journey with a glass of local Babić wine, the islands now deeply etched into your sailing memories. The scent of pine and salt hangs in the air as you recall the week's passages.

Sail past the iconic island of Primošten
Swim in the unique Dragon's Eye Lake
Enjoy a final toast with Babić wine
Stroll through Rogoznica's charming old town
Mooring tip
Marina Frappa offers stern-to moorings with good holding in sand and mud; fuel is available at the main pier.
